Shams: Tyus Jones, Nuggets agree on deal
Thu, Jul 2, 2026, 12:41 PM
Shams Charania
Tyus Jones agreed to a one-year contract with the Nuggets, reports ESPN's Shams Charania.
Analysis: Jones was traded twice and waived in February before the Nuggets picked him up. He appeared in 11 regular season games with Denver and three playoff games. The Nuggets saw enough to bring him back on a one-year deal, but he isn't in line for a fantasy-relevant role.
Marvin Bagley III
Report: Nuggets sign Marvin Bagley III to contract
Wed, Jul 1, 2026, 7:29 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the Nuggets have signed Marvin Bagley III to a one-year deal.
Analysis: The signing of Bagley gives the Nuggets additional frontcourt depth and could mean that Jonas Valan?i?nas' time in the Mile High City is coming to an end. Between Washington and Dallas, the 2018 second overall pick appeared in 60 games last season, averaging 10.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 20 minutes. With Nikola Joki? set to once again log heavy minutes in the middle, Bagley is unlikely to get the run needed to have an impact in fantasy basketball in 2026-27.

Nuggets select Bryce Hopkins with No. 49 pick
Wed, Jun 24, 2026, 3:41 PM
Nuggets selected Bryce Hopkins with the No. 49 pick in the NBA Draft.
Analysis: A highly-regarded recruit out of high school, the 6-foot-6 Hopkins played one season at Kentucky before transferring to Providence. After three seasons there, the second of which was interrupted by a torn ACL, he transferred to St. John's for his final campaign. During his lone season in Queens, Hopkins showed that the knee wasn't an issue, making 37 starts and averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 three-pointers per game. And he shot the ball reasonably well, putting up percentages of 46.9 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from three and 71.3 percent from the foul line. Tim Hardaway Jr. is an unrestricted free agent this summer, and the Nuggets can use additional wing depth regardless of what happens with the veteran. Hopkins will need to rely on his improved defense early on, and he may benefit from playing off stars Nikola Joki? and Jamal Murray.

Nuggets select Trevon Brazile with No. 35 pick
Wed, Jun 24, 2026, 2:46 PM
Nuggets selected Trevon Brazile with the No. 35 pick in the NBA Draft.
Analysis: After one season at Missouri, the 6-foot-10 Brazile spent the next four at Arkansas. He saved his best for last, averaging 13.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.6 blocks and 1.3 three-pointers in 31.5 minutes per game, all career-high numbers. Part of the Darius Acuff Jr.-led team that won the SEC tournament in March, Brazile shot 52.5 percent from the field, 34.1 percent from three and 71.7 percent from the foul line. The Nuggets need frontcourt depth, especially if the Aaron Gordon trade rumors lead to a move. Brazile's athleticism and defensive ability will give him an opportunity to earn rotation minutes off the bench.
Aaron Gordon
Report: Aaron Gordon drawing trade interest
Sun, Jun 14, 2026, 2:08 PM
Marc Stein
NBA insider Marc Stein reports that teams have registered interest in trading for Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon.
Analysis: Despite being limited to 87 regular-season games over the last two seasons due to injuries. Gordon is a popular player heading into the offseason. According to Stein, the athletic forward is the veteran Nuggets player who has drawn the most trade interest from opposing teams. However, he also reported that if Denver were to make a move, they would prefer to find a trade partner for Christian Braun rather than for Gordon or Jamal Murray. Making a move would likely make it easier for the Nuggets to hold onto Peyton Watson, who will be a restricted free agent at the end of the month.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray held to 12 points in Game 6 loss
Thu, Apr 30, 2026, 7:22 PM
Jamal Murray totaled 12 points (4-of-17 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, four assists and one block in the loss to the Timberwolves on Thursday.
Analysis: Murray struggled on Thursday on both ends of the floor. On offense, the length of Jaden McDaniels sure had an impact, as the veteran point guard had more missed shots than total points. He was also attacked as a one-on-one defender repeatedly down the stretch, ultimately allowing some key Minnesota baskets to close the game. While Murray had a tough time finding his rhythm throughout the series, he had a phenomenal regular season, averaging 25.4 points, 7.1 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.3 three-pointers, which were all career bests. He turned in one of his better fantasy seasons and should be able to perform at a high level again next season.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson tallies 27 points, five triples
Thu, Apr 30, 2026, 7:12 PM
Cameron Johnson added 27 points (8-of-15 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and five three-pointers in Thursday's loss to the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Johnson rose to the occasion on Thursday, logging one of his best performances of the season. Despite the loss, he drained half of his 10 three-point attempts, nearly pulled down double-digit rebounds, and finished as one of Denver's most reliable scoring options on the evening. Johnson came into the season with some expectations to serve as the missing piece for the Nuggets, who acquired him via trade during the offseason. His production fluctuated throughout the season, and he ultimately averaged just 12.2 points overall, his lowest since his sophomore season. A more effective season and better fantasy production should be expected in Year 2 with the Nuggets next season.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Joki? posts 28/9/10 line in loss to Wolves
Thu, Apr 30, 2026, 7:03 PM
Nikola Joki? finished Thursday's loss to the Timberwolves with 28 points (11-of-19 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one three-pointer.
Analysis: Joki? logged another impressive stat line in Thursday's loss, impacting the game as a scorer, facilitator, and rebounder. He shot the ball efficiently overall despite not finding his touch from beyond the arc. Yet, his contributions weren't enough to keep Denver from another early playoff exit. The Nuggets have not been back to the Western Conference Finals since their championship-winning 2021-22 season. Regardless of what roster construction occurs over the offseason, Joki? should be back and will have a chance to finish as one of the best fantasy players.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) ruled out Thursday vs. MIN
Thu, Apr 30, 2026, 2:34 PM
Anthony Slater
Aaron Gordon (calf) will not play against the Timberwolves on Thursday.
Analysis: For the third time in this series, the Nuggets will be without their starting power forward. The versatile two-way forward has struggled with injuries throughout his 12th NBA season, and has played in only three of the five playoff games so far, averaging 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Without Gordon, Spencer Jones should fill in again as the fifth starter. Jones scored 20 points and made four three-pointers in Denver's Game 5 victory.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) questionable for Game 6
Wed, Apr 29, 2026, 11:59 AM
NBA Injury Report
Aaron Gordon (calf) is questionable for Thursday's Game 6 against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Gordon did not play in Denver's Game 5 victory on Monday, resulting in a move into the starting lineup for Spencer Jones. Shooting 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, Jones tallied 20 points, three steals and three blocked shots to help the Nuggets keep their season alive. He'll get another start if Gordon remains out for another game.
Peyton Watson
Peyton Watson (hamstring) remains out for Game 6
Wed, Apr 29, 2026, 11:55 AM
NBA Injury Report
Peyton Watson (hamstring) is out for Thursday's Game 6 against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Due to a strained right hamstring, Watson has not appeared in a game since April 1. That will remain the case for Game 6, resulting in more minutes for fellow reserves Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray has 24 points in Game 5 win Monday
Tue, Apr 28, 2026, 3:08 AM
Jamal Murray had 24 points (9-of-23 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, four steals and two three-pointers in Monday's Game 5 win over the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Murray and the Nuggets lost the second half of Game 4 by 20 points even with the Timberwolves missing multiple starters. Denver was able to turn the page in Game 5. Murray had 24 points, seven assists and four steals in the win. The Nuggets will have to win Game 6 on the road to keep their season alive on Thursday.
Nikola Jokic
Joki? has triple-double as Nuggets force Game 6
Tue, Apr 28, 2026, 3:03 AM
Nikola Joki? had 27 points (9-of-15 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), 12 rebounds, 16 assists, two blocks and one three-pointer in the Nuggets' 125-113 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 5 on Monday.
Analysis: With their backs against the wall facing elimination at home in Game 5, the Nuggets finally punched back in this series. Joki? bounced back after a rough second half in Game 4 to record a triple-double with 27 points as Denver took Game 5 by 12 points. Joki? and the Nuggets will have their work cut out for them on the road in Game 6 on Thursday.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) out for Game 5 Monday
Mon, Apr 27, 2026, 3:36 PM
Aaron Gordon (calf) is out for Game 5 against the Timberwolves on Monday.
Analysis: Gordon played 23 minutes in Saturday's Game 4 loss to the Timberwolves before heading to the locker room in the third quarter. Despite the Nuggets saying he was available, Gordon didn't return to the court. Now he's been ruled out for Game 5. Expect Spencer Jones to start in his place.
Peyton Watson
Peyton Watson (hamstring) remains out for Game 5
Sun, Apr 26, 2026, 1:23 PM
NBA Injury Report
Peyton Watson (hamstring) is out for Monday's Game 5 against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Watson has yet to play in a game this series, and that won't change on Monday. With Aaron Gordon (calf) questionable, the Nuggets will continue to rely more on Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown. Denver needs a win to extend the series, which Minnesota leads three games to one.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) questionable for Game 5
Sun, Apr 26, 2026, 1:18 PM
NBA Injury Report
Aaron Gordon (calf) is questionable for Monday's Game 5 against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Gordon, who played 23 minutes in Game 3, did not return after a third-quarter trip to the locker room despite the Nuggets saying that he was available. With the Nuggets' backs against the wall, it would be unsurprising if he gave it a go on Monday. If Gordon can't play, Spencer Jones is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup, but he offers little value on the offensive end.
Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray hits three triples, scores 30 points
Sat, Apr 25, 2026, 5:42 PM
Jamal Murray amassed 30 points (10-of-25 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, one block and three three-pointers in Saturday's Game 4 loss to the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Like Nikola Joki?, Game 4 was a tale of two halves for Murray. He shot 5-of-14 from the field in the second half, and the Nuggets were outscored 62-42. Due to Saturday's defeat, the Nuggets' season will be on the line when they host Game 5 on Monday. Given how shorthanded the Timberwolves will be, that sets up to be a big night for Murray. That said, many likely assumed Murray would go off in the second half after the Timberwolves lost Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo on Saturday.
Nikola Jokic
Nikola Joki? goes silent in second half, ejected
Sat, Apr 25, 2026, 5:42 PM
Nikola Joki? finished Saturday's Game 4 win over the Timberwolves with 24 points (8-of-22 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), 15 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and one blocked shot.
Analysis: While Joki? finished Game 4 with a solid stat line, he did most of his damage before halftime. In the second half, the three-time league MVP shot 1-of-10 from the field as the Nuggets fell to a Timberwolves team that did not have Anthony Edwards or Donte DiVincenzo. And things would get worse for Joki?, as he was ejected in the final seconds for sparking an altercation due to his displeasure with Minnesota's Jaden McDaniels converting a layup instead of running out the clock. No punches were thrown, and the Nuggets will hope that bodes well for Joki?'s availability for Game 5 on Monday.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon (calf) plays 23 minutes in return
Sat, Apr 25, 2026, 5:41 PM
Vinny Benedetto
Aaron Gordon (calf) recorded nine points (4-of-11 FGs), one rebound, one block and one three-pointer in Saturday's Game 4 loss to the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Back in action after a one-game absence, Gordon was placed in the starting lineup immediately. While he did play 23 minutes, the veteran forward did not appear to be himself. While the Nuggets said Gordon was available to return after a trip to the locker room during the third quarter, he did not. After the game, Nuggets head coach David Adelman said he believed it would be “unfair” to leave Gordon in. The Nuggets host Game 5 on Monday, and Spencer Jones (four rebounds, one steal and two blocks) may have to return to the starting lineup if Gordon can't go.
Aaron Gordon
Report: Aaron Gordon (calf) to play in Game 4
Sat, Apr 25, 2026, 1:39 PM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Aaron Gordon will play in Saturday's Game 4 against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Gordon is back after sitting out the Nuggets' Game 3 loss on Thursday night. How much he'll play is unknown, but Gordon's return means fewer minutes for spot starter Spencer Jones.
